Background
At the beginning of the project, our customer was faced with the challenge of fundamentally transforming its IT organisation. The overarching goal was to gradually increase vertical integration and reorganise processes. To achieve this, all IT processes were to be recorded or newly created and then digitally documented in the BPM tool SAP Signavio. The focus here was on designing the processes along the end-to-end logic and linking them together.
IMPLEMENTATION
During the implementation phase, we supported our customer in the development of practice-oriented modelling conventions and guidelines. We also held training sessions for the process modellers and created guidelines for the use of SAP Signavio. In addition, we maintained the glossary in SAP Signavio to create standardised terminology for target systems and process roles. Through targeted business process modelling in accordance with the principles of the process house, the processes were mapped consistently. Ongoing support ranged from creating the implementation roadmap to configuring the navigation maps and coordinating the processes in workshops with the process owners.
RESULTS
As a result of our project work, the IT processes are now uniformly documented from process levels 1 to 4 and harmonised with the respective process owners. A navigation map serves as a clear entry diagram to the end-to-end processes, accompanied by a detailed change history of the processes with quality checks. In addition, a Collaboration Hub Guide for Signavio was created to ensure effective use of the tool. Training courses were held on how to use SAP Signavio, including the SAP Signavio Modeler Guide, to enable the process modellers to work independently. The project also made an important contribution to the creation of standardised process manuals for the respective processes.
